Tiger, Virginia Virginia Tiger, Professor and Chair of English at Rutgers University-Newark, is the author of four books, the most recent being The Unmoved Targert: The Fiction of William Golding. She has published scholarly articles in such journals as Contemporary Literature, Modern Fiction Studies, Doris Lessing Studies, Style and essays in numerous collections, including Ages of Anxiety: The Diaries of Jame Somers, Spiritual Explorations in the Works of Doris Lessing. ed.
