Aljira Emerge

Aljira Emerge offers artists ten weeks of professional development workshops, culminating in a curated group exhibition and catalog featuring each participating artist.

From its inception in 1999, Aljira Emerge has recognized the needs of artists in the region and provided richly informative career management experiences. This program for emerging artists addresses a wide range of concerns critical to the working artist, such as gallery representation, budgeting and finances, curatorial practice, public art, and exhibition opportunities.

Emerge offers artists invaluable opportunities to work within a group setting with other artists under the tutelage of prominent artists, curators, and other arts professionals.
